Arben Cloud exhibition booth

Our old partner agency requested assistance creating an exhibition booth to showcase Arben‘s latest collection, Cloud. Arben is a company that specializes in interior textiles and is one of the market leaders in Russia and Central Asia.

The task was straightforward: to create a spacious and airy atmosphere with a relaxed and minimalist design in a small area that is open from two sides, using soft and translucent materials, white and pastel monochrome colors.

We elaborated on a few strategies:

  1. A monolith stretch structure

2. A system of elements that repeat like a spatial pattern

3. An elaborate ceiling with suspended elements creating a cloud-like effect, combined with flowing organza walls.

The movement of the organza fabric on the walls makes us want to try to invert the problem:

Assuming that clouds exhibit their characteristic wave on the vertical plane (up-down-up), we can apply the same smooth motion horizontally.

Waves can then be used to organize different spaces and emphasize certain products on the plan.

We made several models of the structure until we were happy with the result.

Our preferred option and a more formal and conservative alternative were presented to the client.

We strongly supported the first proposal.

We needed to find a way to construct our soft-wave wall.

We collaborated with our construction partner to create various models, aiming to understand how to stretch, fold, and illuminate the fabric.

The construction at the Moscow City Exhibition Center began.

…And here we are!
