I made a new artist’s book for the XVI Festival of Artist’s Books and Small Editions that will be held in Barcelona on April 23. The theme was Books of Joy and the request of the competition was to make the book in February and send it in the first week of March. So I came up with this new book: The Fish Bowl.
The idea was to create a book that, when opened, would transform into a fishbowl, with a goldfish swimming inside. So I created a net of transparent threads to hang the fish in different positions.
This is not a silent book; I have included on it a little explanation of its meaning.
I am currently making a short stop motion film about this topic. It is an ambitious project, so I think it will take a while.
